Camp Features

Two-Person Mechanics

The only residential, two-person mechanics training camp in Saskatchewan or Alberta!

Quality competition

U17 / U15 / U13 boys and girls divisions - Teams coming from Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Daily Games

Solid number of games - we are planning to provide multiple games to each camper daily

On-Site Accommodations

Hassle free accommodations on site at Lakeland College at an extremely reasonable rate included in your fees.

Video Analysis

We will provide at least one post-game video analysis session per camper.

Classroom Training Sessions

A mix of on-court and classroom training to further develop your officiating skills.

Peer-Mentoring

You will work with a fellow camper to help with each other's development.

Game Scrimmage

Officiating opportunity on Thursday evening, to 'work the rust off!'

Courage Comraderie

A terrific Referee Coach crew! Plus camp swag, camp social and much more!

What we Offer

Schedule

  • 5-6:30pm:  Residence Check-in
  • 6:30pm:  Camp Registration
  • 7pm: Open Scrimmage with LC Rustler’s WBB – Officiated by campers wanting to work the rust off
  • 9pm: Introduction & Classroom Session 1
  • 10:30pm: End of Camp Day 1
  • 9am:  Classroom Session 2
  • 10:30am: Gymnasium Session 1
  • 12pm:  Lunch break
  • 1pm: Classroom Session 3
  • 2:30pm:  Gymnasium Session 2
  • 4pm:  Distribution of night 1 Game Assignments
  • 5-10pm:  Assigned Games at various locations
  • 10pm:  End of Camp day 2 – Distribution of Day 2 Game Assignments
  • 9am-7pm: Assigned Games at various locations
  • 8pm: Camp Social
  • 11pm:  End of Camp Day 3

Residence Check-out must occur prior to your first scheduled game

  • 9am-3pm: Assigned Games at various locations
  • 3pm: Camp conclusion & Departure

What we Offer

Tournament Rules

Full FIBA rules with the exception of:

  • Minimum 8 minute warm up time per game.
  • 5 minute half time
  • 1 timeout in the first half
  • 2 timeouts in the 2nd half
  • Point spread of 25 or more clock will turn to run time until the last two minutes.
  • No full court press with a point spread of 25 points or more.
  • No zone defense in the U13 division
  • No dunking in warm ups
